SECONDS (1966)
Rock rocks!
Rock Hudson reached the zenith of his career in breezy ‘50/'60s comedies, but in SECONDS, he delivers the finest dramatic performance of his career. In this Twilight Zone-ish parable for man's search for his true identity, directed by John Frankenheimer, a bored banker (John Randolph) is offered a total change of life by a mysterious group, and after endless surgeries emerges as Rock. Embarking on the new life promised him, he becomes a painter and falls for a seductive, free spirited woman with a secret of her own. But when he begins yearning for his former life, the corporation sees him as a failed experiment. Prepare yourself for a horrifying and depressing finale.
