SNEAKERS (1992) / SPY GAME (2001) Bobbing for spies

I enjoy spying Bob Redford in two spy-cy little films made a decade apart. In the fun and fast-moving SNEAKERS, he’s the leader of a tight team of unorthodox security specialists (Sidney Poitier, David Strathairn, Dan Aykroyd, River Phoenix) tricked into finding a mysterious box that can break into any encrypted computer system in the US. And in a more serious and even faster-moving SPY GAME, he’s a retiring CIA agent spending his last day recalling for superiors his recruitment and training of a young spy (Brad Pitt), while secretly working against them to free his protégé from Chinese captors. Both movies feature good casts and dialogue.
