DA (1988)

Refusing to R.I.P.

In DA, a young Irish-American playwright (Martin Sheen) returns to Ireland to bury his da (father). But Da has other plans. He appears to his son everywhere, present and past, and the two engage in soul-searching conversations they had avoided all their lives. For the son, it's a journey of discovery that ends with his reconciling with his past and returning home, finally free from the ghost of his da. Or is he?
