TWO FOR THE ROAD (1967)

In TWO FOR THE ROAD, two young people (Audrey Hepburn and Albert Finney) meet cute, travel around Europe, spat and spar, fall in love, marry, have kids, argue a little, argue a lot, separate, and nearly divorce – not always in that order, thanks to unusual time-shuffling. Deftly directed by Stanley Donen (SINGIN' IN THE RAIN), this is a delightful and entertaining romp – stylish, witty, and intelligent – with wonderful acting, lovely score, and astute observations on coupling, both comedic and serious.
