LOST IN AMERICA (1965)

Without a nest egg

If you've never seen Albert Brooks' LOST IN AMERICA, you must be lost in a cave. This comedy concerns two married yuppies (Brooks, Julie Hagerty) who - for reasons you have to see the movie to believe - sell everything they own to drop out and "find" themselves. Their plan is to remarry in Vegas and then discover America in their new mobile home. But on their first night out, they lose their entire “nest egg” in the casino and are forced to take menial jobs in a tiny Arizona town. One hilarious scene after another, none funnier than when Brooks tries to sell the manager of a Vegas casino on the idea of giving back the money his wife has lost at roulette.
