Peter O’Toole, who started his career as a dramatic actor (LAWRENCE OF ARABIA, GENTLEMAN JIM, BECKETT) has proved equally adept at comedy. In MY FAVORITE YEAR he plays a fading, Flynn-like actor guesting on a '50s Sid Caesar-ish TV comedy show; and in CREATOR, he’s an eccentric college professor determined to bring his beloved wife back to life through faith and chemistry while doing a bit of match-making on the side for his young assistant. In both delightful performances, he shows remarkable style and verve.
