REAR WINDOW (1954)

Peeping James

It's a broiling city summer, and you're stuck in a wheelchair in a tiny flat with a busted leg. You’re a professional camera jockey with all this fancy telescopic gear, and you’re bored out of your gourd. So what do you do to pass spinster, a tune-blocked piano composer, horny newlyweds, and oh yeah, a cheating husband (Raymond Burr, pre-Perry Mason) who separates from his wife by separating her with a butcher knife. Full of Hitchcockian fun and suspense, not the least of which is: why would somebody who looks like Grace Kelly fall for someone who looks like Jimmy Stewart?
